April 29

Good morning and welcome back!

Today, the students will start their day by having their circle time. During this time the students will go over the days of the week, months of the year, new blends and the weather. Today, the students learned a new blend. Today's blend was "ue." First, the students brain storm all of the words that make that sound. They were able to come up with many words   Wow! They did a great job! Next, we played the "Sound Game." This game involves having cards to read out loud and placing them on where they belong based on the blend.
Moving on to math, the students are still in the unit of measurements. Today we reviewed our math words. Next, we completed a page in our math books page 199. On this page, the kids were asked  to draw different lengths from shortest to longest.
Lastly, we did an activity where we first estimated on how many blocks it will take to make the same length was your partner.
I think they had a really fun time finding out each other lengths.

Moving on to our UOI time, we are still learning about Spring. We reviewed the four stages of Spring. Next, we worked on a worksheet where we had to write sentence about using our senses during spring time.
Moving on to our journal time. Today's entry was "Two things that I did over the weekend were...."
