April 26

Good morning!

Students will read the morning message, learn about the months of the year, days of the week and learn their new sounds. Today, the students had there spelling test. Everyone did very well! I will be sending home the test today. Next, the students who finished all of their work for the week were able to have free time . For the kids who did not finish assignment's for the week were asked to finish first then they could have play time.

Moving on to our math time, we are still in the unit of measuring. Today, the students went over our math words. Next, each student wrote down their names on a piece of paper. We wanted to find out who has the longest and shortest name in the class. I think the activity was pretty fun.

Moving on to UOI time, today we learned about Trees. First we reviewed all of the different signs that we might see during spring time. Next,  we brain storm ideas about a tree. Why do we have trees? Why are they important to us? And what resources  do we get from trees. Then, we watched a short video on fun facts about trees. Lastly,  we worked on a fun art project where they need to finger print leaves on the tree.
The students end off the day with having there French class and we had more rehearsals for Art's night.
I hope everyone has a great weekend ! See you on Monday.
