April 1

Good Morning!

Students will learn the days of the week, weather, new blend sounds and sight words. Today our new blend sound for the week is "ear." The students first brain storm words that make the same sound as "er." Next, we watched a short video on other words that make that same sound. Lastly, we end or phonics lesson with writing in our phonics note books practicing writing our "er" sounds. We had about 10 more minutes before the kids moved on to there gym class. The class and I practice having a demo spelling bee test.

Moving onto our math time: the students are still reviewing the worth of a quarter. The students worked on a work sheet where they were able to count there quarters. Towards the end of math, the students played "store." This game is when the students get the chance to pick and item and give the proper amount.

Moving on to UOI: our new community helper that we learned about today was a chef. Students brain storm ideas on they believed  a chef does on the job. Next, the students watched a video about a chef. Lastly, we end UIO with an activity  where they were asked to make different foods with pay dough.

Towards the end of the day, the students enjoyed there french lesson. We end our day with completing our journal entry. Today's entry was "If I had three wishes I would wish for..."
